After perhaps his most impressive display to date in his unanimous decision victory over Yushin Okami, Chael Sonnen was quick to suggest who he’d like to face next in the UFC.

“It’d be really nice to get off of cutting weight, go up to 195 (lbs), and get in there with Rich Franklin“ said the fighter, who currently has a record in the UFC of 3-3.

“Franklin and Team Quest have had problems for years that are very well documented…send me up to 195 and let’s bury the hatchet with Rich Franklin once and for all.”

It is not yet known how Franklin feels about the potential match-up, though it would perhaps be more sensible for the fighter to make a firm move to either 185 or 205lbs, rather than continuing to fight in catchweight bouts that put him no closer to a shot at a title.
