After beating Cheick Kongo with relative ease at UFC 107, Frank Mir finds himself back in the title picture in the heavyweight division.

In a new interview at his home with for rawvegas.tv, Mir talks about his most recent win, his recent weight gain, and assesses his next opponent – No.1 contender Shane Carwin.

On Carwin’s strengths: “He’s a heavy handed individual who’s a great athlete, whos a very big heavyweight.  I think that he has excellent wrestling – I definitely say he has the wrestling edge on me.”

On his own gameplan: “I’m going to have to use the striking and jiu jitsu edges that I have to try to negate that.  Towards ok yeah, your a better wrestler than I am but I’m going to be punching you a lot, and moving to different angles to hopefully draw away from your wrestling abilities.”
