Various sources are today reporting that Josh ‘The Dentist’ Neer is the latest fighter to be released from his contract by the UFC. Neer suffered a unanimous decision defeat in his fight with Gleison Tibau at last weekends UFC 104, his third loss in four fights.

In total his UFC record now stands at 4-6, though his overall fight record is a more impressive 25-9. His inability to put together a consistent run in the competitive lightweight division has apparently now cost him his place on the roster of the sports leading organization.

Neer is however still known as a tough and, when given the opportunity, exciting fighter, and having fought on the main card in his past two fight he brings enough to the table to ensure that he will attract interest from other solid promotions looking to bolster their light weight rosters.
