Gina Carano (7-1), often referred to as the ‘face’ of woman’s mixed martial arts, has been quiet since her first round defeat to Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Santos, but she has been back in the spotlight in the past week as the cover star of ESPN magazine’s ‘The Body’ issue.  In a new interview with newsday.com she reveals that she was nervous about doing the photo-shoot.

“It was all good. But I’m just a shy person, so it’s a little bit hard. It was beautiful, but I’m shy. No more. I’m going to keep my clothes on for a while, I think.”

Carano recently signed up to star in a new Steven Soderbergh movie titled ‘Knockout.’   It is at this stage not known if, and when she might return to fight.
