Just when it seemed as if the UFC’s injury list couldn’t get any longer, news reaches us that heavyweight prospect Todd Duffee has pulled out of his fight with Paul Buentello at UFC 107.

The cancellation of the bout, which would have been 23 year old Duffee’s first appearance on the main card of a UFC event, is clearly a major disappointment to the fighter.

“(Withdrawing) was one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make,” he told sherdog.com earlier today, though he declined to state the nature of the injury.

Meanwhile Buentello told the site that, “It was a fight I was really looking forward to. We really matched up well.”

Buentello also said that Stefan Struve and Mike Russow have been suggested as possible replacements.
